Improvements for the 2007-08 Season
Summit Nordic Center
Bristol Mountain announces the addition of a Summit Nordic Center for the upcoming season! The Summit Nordic Center will provide local high school nordic teams and the general public alike access to cross-country and snowshoe equipment for the enjoyment of the two new nordic trails that encompass 3K worth of terrain at the top of the mountain. The 3K of terrain is split up into two trails, a 1.8K loop and a 1.2K loop. There will be snowmaking and lighting on the 1.2K loop. In addition, the nordic trails will be maintained by newly added grooming equipment that is capable of track setting and skate-type surface grooming.
Lower Galaxy
Last season's new trail, Lower Galaxy, has been improved by the addition of snowmaking and lights. Now that this trail doesn't rely solely on natural snow, it can be enjoyed more often!
Parking Area
The parking area continues to be improved, and this summer the north lot was paved, yielding an additional 64 new spaces. |
