About Us » Courtesy Staff
The Bristol Mountain Courtesy Staff is a team of men and women who love to ski and/or snowboard and enjoy the prospect of helping make everyone's experience at Bristol Mountain a safe, enjoyable, and memorable one.

Their mission is to educate skiers and riders on the Responsibility Code, help monitor all areas of the Mountain to insure adherence to the Code, and assist Ski Patrol and Mountain Management with the opening and closing of lifts and trails, transporting equipment, and working to insure safe conditions at incident locations, as well as on the rest of the mountain.

Over the past couple of years the Courtesy Staff, Ski Patrol, and Mountain Management have taken steps to increase visibility in high traffic areas and these measures have paid off.  The Courtesy Staff is most visible during busy times on the south side of the mountain in the slow zones, wearing yellow and black jackets with reflective stripes and bright red flashing lights (at night).

While the Courtesy Staff requirement does not include the extensive medical and toboggan training that the Ski Patrol does, they work the same hours, participate in lift and blackout drills, and require an advanced level of skiing and/or riding.
